Bolan-Beaty Boogie’s Afterlife Interview with River Phoenix

River Phoenix.jpg

I had seen a photo of River on FB a few days ago and I wondered what he might be up to now. I asked Marc to see if he could get him for an interview. The next time I met with him, River was standing next to him. I remember feeling so shocked when River passed away in 1993 at the age of 23. Another celebrity who left us too soon.

Marc: So Diane, I’d like you to meet River.

Diane: Oh gosh….hello River. Very nice to meet you.

Marc: River said that he’d like to join up for a conversation.

Diane: I’m curious River….how did you find out about what Marc and I are doing?

River: Well Marc was one of my influences growing up. (He showed me a scene where River and his siblings were playing air guitar to Marc’s music). I loved rock – not so much the earlier rock that Marc liked. Anyway, many celebrities are being interviewed right now and I felt this would be a perfect fit for me.

Marc: So let’s settle down here. (They sit down in the lotus position.) River, so what have you been doing since you passed over and how was the transition for you?

River: Well, it was a bumpy end as I’m sure you are all aware. I just couldn’t kick the drugs. I had every advantage in my life at the time – money, fame and a family who cared about me. I just kept looking for something else that I couldn’t find down there. Drugs and alcohol filled the void that I had in me. The transition over was an eye opener. I thought I’d really botched that one. I could have had so much but couldn’t get it right. Once I transitioned over, after speaking with my team here, I knew that one of the humps I was trying to overcome that time was addiction. But yeah….didn’t quite get there.

Marc: What did you learn from that life?

River: Not to be hard on yourself. I learned so much in other aspects of that life as well.

Diane: It seems that many spirits who were celebrities end up going over early. Marc and River….both of you went very young. River, did you plan that?

River: Didn’t Marc say something once about wanting to be a pretty corpse? Yeah, I think I had a few exit points and that was one of my first ones and the one I took. Maybe there is something in leaving before they forget you. Marc’s a legend. I don’t think I am – but maybe to some.

Marc: Did he answer me? What lesson did you learn?

River: Yeah I did didn’t I? Not to judge yourself harshly. Everything works out in the end.

Marc: Oh yeah..sorry….I guess I was wondering what you came down there to do if that isn’t too personal?

River: Well at this point, I don’t think so. I came down to be an artist and to make a difference. I’d been painters before, authors. I had everyday run of the mill lives before but that time, I really wanted to shake it up. I was extremely intelligent – if I do say so myself – a real deep thinker. I could read minds and understand people and things on a deeper level than most people around me it seemed. I had just brought down too much energy that time because it seemed like I couldn’t control it. My guides warned me not to bring so much down, but I thought I could handle it. Turns out they were right.

Diane: River, did you enjoy that short life?

River: At times. I had the greatest friends – so many wonderful people. Unfortunately, we all had some vices and egged each other on too much – train ride out of control.

Marc: You loved music right man?

River: Oh yeah! I would rather had been a rock star versus a film star but you take what you get. Music was a big passion for me. I loved playing the guitar. I loved all the crazy outfits you wore Marc. You were a hell of a guitar player.

Marc: Thanks very much. What have you been doing since you’ve gotten back?

River: Well that life was a hard one even though it was short and I took some time to recover – healing time. I wasn’t really pleased with myself because I felt that I kind of blew it, but that is all behind me.

Diane: Are you thinking of coming back down here at some point or are you already here?

River: Not the spirit components that were River. I do have a parallel life that did not stop at that time. It is still continuing but to tell you the truth, it’s kind of boring.

Diane: Do you visit family and friends?

River: Oh sure…..my brother especially. It wasn’t easy for my siblings coming after their big brother and my loss so early was hard on my family. God….he is a heck of an actor. He really came into his own. Yeah I’m around him a lot. Trying to keep him on the straight and narrow so to speak.

Marc: Okay River…I think Diane is getting tired here. Thank you for taking the time to talk with us. Man…keep it real. Rock on!

River: Thanks Marc…thanks Diane. It was a trip coming here. I haven’t done this kind of thing in awhile. I hope readers get something out of it.

Diane: Thanks River! I’m sure that they will. Did you have any last words for them?

River: Yeah…take care of those demons down there the best you can folks. Otherwise they’ll keep coming back. Hell…it’s all a learning experience so don’t sweat the bad stuff. It all works out in the end. And yeah…enjoy yourself down there – maybe not to the excess that I did sometimes. Look within man….the journey comes from there.

  2. Thank you for getting Marc to get in touch with River. River is one of my idols that I look up to. Anyway, is it at all possible for Marc to get in touch with Kurt Cobain. He is another idol of mine. I was 8 when both River and Kurt passed.

    • There have been quite a few afterlife interviews with Kurt already. You might check the Channeling Erik site as I know they did one. We are trying to contact spirits who maybe haven’t been heard from too often. We never say no to a spirit who wants to be heard, so you never know, he may still show up here! 😀

  3. hi. i loved this interview; has anyone tried to get in contact, spiritually that is, with Brad Renfro or Jonathan Brandis?

    • Glad you enjoyed it Sarah! Actually I’ve never of them so not sure about afterlife interviews with them but you can check on-line. We can put the word out to Spirit and see if they want to talk.
